John Linzee Whittaker

Linzee (John) Whittaker, 82, passed away on May 16, 2025, in Aiken, South Carolina. 

Born on May 14, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, Linzee lived a full and vibrant life marked by passion, dedication, and a deep connection to the equestrian world.

Throughout his life, Linzee was known for his love of horses and the sport that surrounded them. An avid horseman, he found great joy in fox hunting and show jumping-pursuits that reflected both his adventurous spirit and disciplined nature. His commitment to these traditions not only brought him personal fulfillment but also connected him with a community of fellow enthusiasts who shared his appreciation for the sport and its heritage.

Linzee enjoyed a fulfilling career of over 30 years with American International Group (AIG). He was an oversees manager with stations around the world. 

Linzee is lovingly remembered by his wife Lena; his daughters Ashley and Alden; his stepdaughter Debbie; and his stepson James. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
