John D. Myers, age 81, passed away on June 29, 2026, in Aiken, South Carolina.
Throughout his life, John lived in Birmingham, Michigan; Fort Myers, Florida; and Aiken, South Carolina, He grew up on 80 acres in Ortonville, Michigan, where he developed his determination, curiosity, and work ethic that would define his life. He graduated from Brandon High School, earned his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and went on to receive his master’s degree from Michigan State University. Go Green!
John enjoyed a successful career as a real estate broker, where he truly loved the art of the deal. His sharp mind, exceptional negotiating skills, and genuine enjoyment of working with people made him highly respected by those who knew him professionally.
Outside of work, John embraced life with enthusiasm. He had a lifelong passion for researching and negotiating on unique, vintage sports cars, a hobby that brought him great enjoyment. An accomplished marathon runner, he qualified for the Boston Marathon, demonstrating the determination and discipline that characterized his life. John was also an avid golfer who loved competition, proudly earning numerous trophies and achieving the memorable feat of a hole-in-one.
John had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling across the country in his motorhome and riding motorcycles. He was exceptionally intelligent, energetic, and always ready for his next adventure. His quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and zest for life brought joy to everyone who knew him.
John is lovingly remembered by the love of his life, Beth Manojlovich, with whom he shared 23 wonderful years; his supportive and adoring daughter, Meredith Kulka (Jeff); his cherished grandsons Conner, Andrew, and William Kulka; his sister Sally Angel (Bill); and brothers Mead, David, and James Myers; and many friends who will cherish his memory.
John’s legacy is one of determination, laughter, adventure, and a life lived to the fullest. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in John’s honor to the Lewy Body Dementia Association to support awareness, research, and care for those affected by Lewy body dementia.
