WINDSOR – Mr. Jerry Dewitt Cox, 78, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019.
Mr. Cox was born in Bartow County, GA, a son of the late William Homer and Mildred Perkins Cox. He served in the US Air Force, and was retired with 30 years service as a Supervisor and Technician for Royal Dutch Shell. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, Past Master, and member of several Masonic Lodges, including Coolville, OH Lodge #337, Hope Lodge #132, and Cedar Lodge #184. He was also a member of the Valley of Cambridge Scottish Rite.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Paula Farra Cox; a daughter, Christin (Felix) Sosa-Gaston, Aiken; a son, Darren (Shirley) Cox, Coolville, OH; grandchildren, Joseph (Hanna) Cox, Danielle (Robert) Tolliver, W.Tyler (Emily) Cox, Matthew Abernethy, and Felix Sosa-Rivera; great grandchildren, Kiana Cox and Wyatt Tolliver; two sisters, Kathleen (Charles) Strain and Sheila (Jerry) Story; two brothers, William Cox and Robert (Debbie) Cox. He also leaves behind a huge group of loving friends in Costa Rica.
Funeral services will be held privately.
