In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Ben Miller

Jeff was born on December 27, 1979, in Red Bud, Illinois, to the late Irwin and Darlene (née Reitz) Miller. He was raised with strong family values, an incredible work ethic, and a compassionate heart.

Jeff Ben Miller passed away on June 22, 2026, unexpectedly, leaving behind a legacy of love and service to others.

On June 14, 2025, Jeff married his soulmate, Ericka Calabro. Their time together as husband and wife was filled with love, laughter, and hopes for the future. Together they shared their greatest blessing, a beautiful daughter, Jocelyn. Becoming a husband and father brought him great joy.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Ericka, daughter Jocelyn; his sisters, Marilyn (Doug) Endicott, Carolyn Miller, Carlene (Tim) Croisdale, and Dana (Kevin) Nieweglowski; his brothers, Rick Miller and Randy (Rachel) Miller; as well as many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jeff is further survived by in-laws Gary and Sandy Calabro; brothers-in-law, Gary Calabro and Brandon (Allie) Calabro, along with many extended family members and treasured friends.

After completing a Master of Science in Occupational and Environmental Health with a specialization in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Iowa, Jeff became a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and a Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

For more than 20 years in industrial hygiene and safety across the construction, nuclear, military, and oil and gas industries, Jeff built a career focused on protecting the lives of others.

Those who knew Jeff will remember his quiet strength, gentle spirit, generous heart, and willingness to help anyone in need.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2026, at St. John United Church of Christ, 301 Market St., New Athens, IL. A luncheon will follow the service at the church.
