Jean Ann Buck

Jean Ann Buck passed away September 16, 2025, surrounded by family at her home in Aiken, SC.

Jean was born February 19, 1937, to Herman “Dennis” Blake and Leona Blake in Paradise, WV, and grew up in Eleanor, WV, after her family moved there in 1942. She was a 1955 graduate of Poca High School (home of the Poca Dots), and later attended the Charleston School of Commerce in Charleston, WV.

In June of 1958, she married Larry David Buck, and the two moved to the Washington, DC area, where she worked as a legal assistant in the area of patent and trademark law for 40 years. Upon retirement, they relocated to Aiken, SC, where they have lived for the past 24 years.

In addition to her professional career, Jean loved to entertain and loved to travel. She also loved spending time with her children and their families.

Jean is survived by her husband, Larry; her son and daughter-in-law, Kerry and Tricia Buck; her daughter and son-in-law Kortni and Jim Duff; four grandchildren, Hanna Buck, Ethan Buck, Adam Duff (Rachel), and Kristin Little (Cameron); as well as four great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Jean's wishes, no service will be held.
