Janette Rogerson

Janette Cherie Walls Rogerson, 73, widow of David Rogerson, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2026, at her home in Aiken, South Carolina while surrounded by her family.

A native of Aiken, Jan was the daughter of the late James and Jeanne Walls. Jan graduated from Aiken High School and later earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of SC-Aiken. She worked for many years for USCA in multiple capacities, but she felt her greatest accomplishments were serving others for 39 years as a member, board member and delegate to her local Al-Anon chapter.

Jan was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She maintained friendships with long-time school friends and others in her community, including people she came to know through church and Al-Anon. Jan’s love language was food. She loved cooking and baking for her family and friends.

Surviving are her two children, Cheryl Glover Deal (Joseph) of Greenwood, SC and Christopher Glover (Stacy) of Aiken, SC; six grandchildren, Alyson Champion, Paul Blackstock, Marissa Blackstock, Jack Blackstock, Taylor Reed (Stewart), and Austin Glover; six great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Teagan, Dallas, Briggs, Ryland and Weston; brother, Steve Walls (Sue) and sister, Tina Shake (Joe).

A memorial service will be held Saturday morning, October 17th at 11 o’clock at Metropolitan Community Church, 557 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.

In lieu of flowers, Jan has requested support for your local Al-Anon chapter, or to a charity that is meaningful to you.
