Jane Ellen Schibik

Jane Ellen Higginbottom Schibik, 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Aiken, South Carolina, on July 1, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 22, 1941, in Aiken where she spent most of her life.

Family was Jane’s greatest joy. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jane is survived by her loving son, Jason Schibik and his wife Tammy; her granddaughters, Ash'lee Wilson and Cassey Boothe (Chad); her grandson, Dylan Davis; and her great-grandchildren, Ryan Boothe, J'Lynn Wright, and Connor Boothe. She is also survived by a sister.

Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Frank Schibik; her children, Tammy Schibik, Tim Schibik, and Kirk Schibik; her parents, Oscar William and Winnie Mae Huff Higginbottom; four sisters and two brothers.

Jane retired from ASCO. She was also a devoted homemaker, creating a welcoming and warm home filled with laughter and the enticing aromas of her favorite dishes. Jane found immense joy in cooking, baking, and collecting recipes—a passion that fostered countless beloved family memories and brought loved ones together around her table.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday morning, July 7th beginning at 10 o'clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11o'clock. Interment will take place at Southlawn Cemetery
