Today is a good day.

Jameson Owen Finney died on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the age of 20. Born on October 21, 2005, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Jameson grew up in Katy, Texas, before moving to Aiken in 2020. A graduate of South Aiken High School, he furthered his education at Aiken Technical College. He worked as a millwright for Union Local 1263.

Jameson’s heart quite literally beat for two. His life was profoundly shaped by Kaylee Marie Montgomery of Weatherford, Texas, whose selfless gift of her heart blessed Jameson with eight additional years filled with love, adventure, and laughter—years that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. The family expresses their deepest gratitude to Texas Children's Hospital and the Medical University of South Carolina, along with their talented and compassionate medical staff, for the exceptional care Jameson received.

Jameson was determined, goofy in spirit, and free in the way he lived his life. His laughter was infectious, and his presence was impossible to ignore—often heard before he even entered a room. He never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to connect with people instantly, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. Fearless and always ready for whatever came next, he lived life fully and without hesitation. Most of all, he was unapologetically himself: real, genuine, and never pretending to be anything he wasn’t.

Jameson is survived by his parents, Jason Lee and Sarah Ehrhardt Finney; his brother, Wilson Ehrhardt (Melanie); and his sister, Livingston Finney. He was also cherished by his maternal grandmother, Linda Price, and his paternal grandmother, Karen Finney. His close relationships extended to his aunts, Katherine Traub (Danny) and Jennifer Donohoe (Kelly), as well as his cousins Jack and Luke Traub, Taylor Kaplan (Brad), and Chase Donohoe.

Jameson was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William Craig Ehrhardt; his maternal step-grandfather, Jay Price; and his paternal grandfather, Larry Lee Finney.
