WINDSOR, SC – JAMES E. CARTER, JR., 78, beloved husband of Linda Stebbins, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 in Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Ipswich, MA, James was a son of the late James E., and Amy Hull Carter. Jimmy was an employee of the Ipswich Shellfish Group where he was a driver\salesman for 20 years and then moved onto inside sales for an additional 20 years. Jimmy was a dedicated worker and proud of his employment.
Jimmy's hobbies numbered many. Among them were building and flying ultralight airplanes, hunting locally and in Quebec and Newfoundland. He was enamored with woodworking, having built pieces of furniture for our home and overseeing the construction of our home in North Carolina. He moved to Windsor in 2015 from Kensington, NH, were he lived for 28 years with his wife.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Linda, include his daughter Jennifer Carter-Harkness of Fairborn, OH, his grandchildren Tyler Carter, Ethan Harkness, and Jocelyn Harkness, also his brother Jack Carter of N. Fort Meyers, FL.
Celebrations of Jimmy's Life to be planned in South Carolina and New England on future dates.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to The National Wild Turkey Federation
