Irene Sango Rangos

AIKEN, SC - Irene S Rangos went to be with our Lord June 10, 2022 – 5 Days before her 88th Birthday. Irene was the daughter of Andrew and Christine Sango, who came to this country from Greece before she was born. She has a sister, Sylvia Keaton (Aiken), and predeceased in death by a brother George Sanko. Irene was a homemaker, although worked for a while at the Aiken Co Hospital in ER admitting. Irene was an avid golfer. Anyone who knew her knows she loved shopping, decorating, and was a beautiful, true Southern Lady. She was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society. Survivors are daughters, Stella Alexander (Richard), Florida, Crystal Katherine Rangos, Aiken; and son Nicholas Basil Rangos, Aiken; grandchildren Hillary Rangos (Newcastle England), Amanda Connelley (Brian), Bryan Alexander (Karassa), Nicole Cook (Mike), Robert Moldenhauer; great grandchildren, Caleb Cook, Ella Cook, and Madison Connelly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692, www.heart.org. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, with the funeral service following at 12:00 PM Wednesday, June 15, 2022, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel.
