Howard Andrew "Andy" Parnell

AIKEN, SC – Mr. Howard Andrew “Andy” Parnell, 55, beloved husband of Melisa “Lynn” Stone Parnell, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2021. Born in Sumter, SC, Andy was a son of the late Howard Joshua Parnell, Jr. and Emma Ray Parnell of Aiken. After graduating high school Andy joined the Air Force. He worked in retail sales for most of his life. Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include a daughter, April (Jay) Jasmine; stepdaughter, Catie (Ryan) McNew and a son, Callie Snipes. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Jane Parnell and a brother, Christopher Tracey Parnell. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
