Helen Elizabeth Bratton

AIKEN, SC – HELEN ELIZABETH BRATTON, 94, widow of Edward Bratton, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Cumberland Hills, Aiken, SC. A native of Wayne County, IN, Helen was a daughter of the late Herman and Gladys Mayes. She lived most her life in Delaware and was a retired crossing guard for the New Castle County School District.  She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, DE.  She moved to Aiken in 2014. Survivors include her son, Myron Bratton, DVM (Chris), Aiken, SC; three step-grandchildren, Megan Maxwell, Morgan Lutz, Jared Lutz; two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Kadence; two brothers, Virgil Mayes (Mary Jane), Richmond, IN, Eugene Mayes, Douglas, GA; two nieces, Ann Brewer, Cynthia Pottenger.
