AIKEN, SC – GERALD T. “JERRY” HATCHER, JR., 58, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 31, 2022 at his residence.
A native and livelong resident of Aiken County, Jerry was a son of Martha Jean Heath Hatcher and the late Gerald T. Hatcher, Sr. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to fish and work in the yard.
Surviving are his mother, Martha Jean Hatcher; sister, Debra Plunkett (Kevin), North Augusta; nieces and nephews, Skylar Hatcher, Deanna Gainey, Dustin Plunkett, Devin Brown. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Trent Hatcher.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday afternoon, April 5th at 2 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Talatha Baptist Church’s Building Fund, 361 Talatha Church Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
