George Andrew Skovran, Jr.

AIKEN, SC – GEORGE ANDREW SKOVRAN, JR., 75, died Friday, May 19, 2017 at his residence. A native of Warren, OH, George was a son of the late George Andrew Sr., and Mary Gentile Skovran. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from General Motors. George lived in Aiken since2007 and was a member of Cedar Creek Church where he served on the greeting committee. Survivors include his daughter, Debra Frederick, Redding, CA; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sandi Schcodnic (Nick), Phyllis Ronghi (Lou); a brother, Richard Skovran (Diane). The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, May 28th beginning at 2 o’clock at Cedar Creek Church Banks Mill Campus. A memorial service will be at 3 o’clock. Interment will follow at 4 o’clock in Historic Bethany Cemetery with military honors accorded by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
