George Richard Laverick

AIKEN, SC - Mr. George Richard Laverick, 78, beloved husband of Honora Marie Laverick, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021. Born in Charleroi, PA, Mr. Laverick was a son of the late Richard Allen and Bertha Waltz Laverick. He graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering degree. Mr. Laverick worked as an electrical engineer and programmer for various companies throughout his career. His hobbies included building websites, programming, listening to classical music, reading books, traveling and caring for his dear pets. In addition to his wife Honora, Mr. Laverick is survived by his daughter, Dr. Catherine Ann DeFelice, Hockessin, DE; son, Anthony Allen Laverick, Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren, Richard Kyler Laverick, DJ Dominick Joseph DeFelice. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma DuPriest. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one’s choosing.
