Gary Eugene Endicott

AIKEN, SC – GARY EUGENE ENDICOTT, 75, beloved husband of Gretchen Rowe Endicott, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 in Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

Born in Independence, KS, Gary was a son of Mary Spier Hunt and the late Roy Endicott, Jr.  He grew up in Sedan, KS.  Gary was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1966 until 1969, serving in Germany.  After the service he moved to Colorado and it was there that he met his future wife, Gretchen.  He retired from the Corps of Engineers after a 23 year career with the Department of Defense.  He has lived in Aiken since 2005.

Survivors, in addition to his wife of 24 years, Gretchen, are his mother, Mary Hunt, Winfield, KS; children, Gretchen Marie Endicott, Aiken, Matthew Gene Endicott, Broomfield, CO; step children, Theodore Anderson Shufelt, Sanfort, ME, Devon, Jennifer Davis, Salisbury, NC; two grandchildren; a sister, Sharon Ortloff, Winfield, KS.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday morning, March 29th at 11 o'clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
