Freida Annette Huckabee

WILLISTON, SC – FREIDA ANNETTE STOKES HUCKABEE, 85, beloved wife of Thomas Glennan Huckabee, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020.

A native of Atlanta, GA, Freida was a daughter of the late Fred Ricker Stokes and Annie Alene Mitchell Stokes.  She grew up in Macon, GA and lived most of her adult life in Charleston, SC.  She retired in 1991 as a mechanical engineering technician at the Charleston Naval Shipyard.  Freida and Thomas moved to Williston in 1998 and were members of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, Aiken Ward.

Survivors in addition to her husband, Thomas, include her daughter, Debra Anne Bowman (Tim), Williston; two sons, Ronald Jerome Ahrens, Augusta, GA, Ricker Alan Ahrens, Williston; a stepson, Thomas G. Huckabee, Jr. (Claudia), Orlando, FL; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Irene Marshall (Bill), Macon, GA. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Glenn Thurman, Jr. and stepdaughter, Brenda Sue Scarborough.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, December 17^th from 5 until 7 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Friday afternoon, December 18^th at 1 o’clock in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery, 3325 Hwy 162, Covington, GA.
