Fred Jonohn Bridges

AIKEN – Mr. Fred Jonohn Bridges, 82, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at his residence. Mr. Bridges was born in Laurens, SC to the late Fred and Annie Zelaine Deloach Bridges. He had made Aiken his home for the last 65 years and retired from Bellsouth and AT&T. He enjoyed playing guitar and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games. Mr. Bridges was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was married to his loving wife, Elizabeth Grice Bridges of 60 years and will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.   In addition to his wife, Mr. Bridges is survived by his two daughters, Bonnie Bridges (Marty) Bryant, North Augusta, SC, Nancy Carole Bridges, New Ellenton, SC; two sons, Terry Bridges, Aiken, Mark Bridges; two grandchildren, Ashby Bridges, Chandler Bridges and one great-grandchild, Colton Bridges. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers. Memorials may be directed to Friendship Baptist Church, 124 Clairmont Dr, Belvedere, SC 29841. A private graveside service will be held with military honors accorded by the US Army.
