Erinne McVicker Blackwell

ERINNE McVICKER BLACKWELL, 52, beloved wife of Gary J. Blackwell, passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Aiken, Erinne was a daughter of Susan Sims Jurgensen and the late William Lynn McVicker. She lived most of her life in Aiken and graduated from South Aiken High School. She had a fulfilling life as a homemaker and mother. She actively participated in the life of Millbrook Baptist Church where she lent her voice to the church choir.

Survivors, in addition to her husband of 14 years, Gary, include her mother and step-father, Susan and Art Jurgensen, Aiken; three children, Kaitlyn McGahee, Bowling Green, OH, Vivian Blackwell and James Blackwell, both of Aiken; her brother, Jared McVicker (Natasha), Augusta, GA; her sister, Michel McVicker-Weaver (Alyssa), Baltimore, MD.

The family will receive friends Saturday morning, August 10th beginning at 10 o’clock at Millbrook Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 11 o’clock with The Revs. Dr. Stephen Cannon and Bill Howard III officiating. Interment will be in Historic Bethany Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church’s Building Fund, 223 South Aiken Blvd., Aiken, SC 29803.
