Ellen Katherine Schuster

Ellen Katherine Schuster, age 80, passed away on April 12, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

She was born in Waterbury, CT December 17, 1942.

She received a BA Degree in Russian (minoring in French) from the University of Connecticut and received a Master’s Degree in Education from Central Connecticut State College.

She taught school her entire career – all levels from Kindergarten to high school. At the end

of her career, she was an assistant principal at an elementary school in Waterbury.

She retired and moved to Aiken in 1997, where she became an avid tennis player at Woodside Plantation.

She was an avid reader all her life and she amassed a huge collection of books covering every

genre.  She also was a collector of artwork.

Ellen was a friend to animals, especially her fur babies Joseph and Noura.  Ellen had many friends and was a good friend in return.

Ellen survived by her sister Susanne Mead, Aiken, SC
