Elizabeth St.John Adams, 40, affectionately known as Liz, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Windsor, SC, surrounded by her loving family. Born June 19, 1985, in Inverness, Florida, Liz lived a life marked by determination, creativity, and devotion to her family and community.
Liz was home schooled, an education that nurtured her independent spirit and varied interests. Her career journey was a testament to her perseverance and dedication. Beginning her professional life as a sweeper at Plant Vogtle, she worked diligently and advanced to become a Nuclear Reactor Operator.
Beyond her technical career, Liz was a talented resin artist and entrepreneur. She owned and operated That's Sew Lizzie, where she crafted and sold beautiful pieces of art, sharing her creativity with those around her. Her craft room was her sanctuary, a place where she found peace and joy.
Liz loved listening to Christian music, a source of comfort and inspiration to her. Her heart was deeply connected to her horses and riding, activities that brought her profound happiness and a sense of freedom. When at her happiest, Liz was found sitting comfortably in a chair on the beach, her favorite place of solace and reflection.
An active member of Millbrook Baptist Church, Liz participated fully in the life of her faith community. She was deeply engaged in The Well, her connect group led by mentors Jeff and Mary Boswell, and devoted time to volunteering in Vacation Bible School. Each Christmas, she extended her kindness by helping pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child, embodying the spirit of giving and compassion.
Liz’s family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She shared 17 cherished years with her husband, Chad Austin Adams, whom she met during their early days working together at Outback Steakhouse. Together they raised three wonderful children: Chloe Elise Adams, age 14; Caeden Austin Adams, age 11; and Cameron Robert Adams, age 9.
She is also survived by her devoted parents, Robert Edward St.John Jr. and Bernadette Vorisek St.John of Barnwell, SC; her brothers Matt St.John of Wasilla, AK; brother Ben St.John of Jacksonville, FL, Michael St.John and his wife Nicole of Augusta, GA; sisters Mary Bresnan and her husband Dom Lee of Aiken, SC, Angela St.John of Windsor, SC, and Teresa St.John of Barnwell, SC.
