Eletha Rodgers Crabtree

Aiken – Mrs. Eletha Rodgers Crabtree, 104, passed away Monday, July 24, 2023.

Mrs. Crabtree was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and daughter of the late Claude and Bessie Whittle Rodgers.  She retired from SCE&G, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.  She was also a volunteer for the Red Cross and Meals on Wheels.

She is survived by her son, James Claude (Clara) Crabtree, Germantown, MD; grandchildren, Marcos A. Crabtree and Elena Lee Crabtree.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James C. Crabtree; and sisters, Ellen Rodgers Peters, Gladys Rodgers Hahn, and Doris Rodgers George; and a brother, James C. Rodgers.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Crabtree will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 29, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeff Erbskorn officiating.  A reception will follow at the church.  Burial will be private in Bethany Cemetery.
