Elaine Elizabeth Burrows

AIKEN, SC – Mrs. Elaine Elizabeth Bunn Burrows, 80, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021. Born in St. Louis, MO, Mrs. Burrows was a daughter of the late Jacob and Mary McCormick Bunn. A resident of Aiken for the last 26 years, Mrs. Burrows volunteered throughout the community. She was a Ladies VFW Member, Aiken Regional Hospital Volunteer and a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She spent her career in retail sales, working at various department stores. She loved to paint, ride horses and care for her precious dogs. She is survived by her son, Steve (Dawn) Burrows, Freeburg, IL; two grandchildren, Kelsie and Jacob Burrows and her dear friend, Mary Ann Wellendorf of Aiken. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burrows was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Burrows; sisters, Peggy Goedelman and Jackie Burrows. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 5th at 11 o’clock at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church on Fairfield St. Interment will follow at a later date in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
