Edward Thomas Sadowski

Edward (Ed) Thomas Sadowski passed away on May 22, 2025 at the age of 64 in Aiken, SC.

Ed was born in Exeter, PA on September 10, 1960 to Edward and Martha Berkant Sadowski.

He attended Ohio University, earning a PhD in nuclear physics. It was there he met his future wife, Susan Klisowksi. The two were married in Athens, OH and were parents to two sons. After completing his Doctorate in Nuclear Physics, the family moved to Aiken, SC where he worked for and retired from Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.

In retirement, Ed fully embraced his passions, finding joy in travel, tennis, golf, and fishing. Each activity brought him happiness and created cherished memories.

Ed is survived by his sons, Thomas Sadowski and Jason Martin, daughter-in-law, Anne Martin, granddaughter Elizabeth Martin, brother Thomas Sadowski, and sister Mary Ann Tencza. He was the uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Sadowski in 2020.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, May 30th from 6 until 7 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 7 o’clock.

The Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday morning, May 31st at 11 o’clock in the Old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church on Park Avenue.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic School’s STEM Center, 118 York St., SE, Aiken, SC 29801.
