Donald Eric Miller

Donald Eric Miller, affectionately known as Rick, passed away on September 8, 2026, at his home in Windsor, South Carolina. He was born on January 14, 1960, in Aiken, South Carolina.

Rick was a son of the late Jack D. and Mary Ann Lyda Miller.  He grew up in New Ellenton and built a life centered on hard work and devotion to those around him. He formerly worked for DuPont at the Savannah River Site and later retired from Bridgestone.

He shared 35 years of marriage with his wife, Velvet Chambers Miller, a lasting partnership that stood at the heart of his life. He is also survived by his son, Eric Brian Miller of Knob Noster, Missouri; his daughters, Mindy Miller of Aiken, and Pam Rish of Windsor; and his beloved grandchildren, Bella, Kelleigh, A.J., Xavier, Kaydy, and Anna, who brought great joy to his family.

Rick is further survived by his sisters, Sharon Miller Strength (Clifford) of Laurens, SC, and Debbie Miller Epling (Billy) of Aiken. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Connie, Matthew, Brad, and Beth, whose place in the family circle will continue to carry his memory forward.

A Celebration of Rick's Life will be held Saturday afternoon, October 3rd beginning at 2 o'clock at Debbie and Billy Epling's home, 1792 Citation Dr., Aiken, SC 29803.
