AIKEN, SC – DAVID S. MATOS, 84, beloved husband of Bernice Abbey Matos, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native of Portugal, David was a son of the late José and Palmira Silva Matos. He was a retired machinist and had lived in Aiken since 1998.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Bernice; daughter, Esther Kruse (Scott), Colfax, WA; son David J. Matos, Aiken; grandchildren, Daniel Tate (Kaitlin), Colfax, WA, Adam Tate (fiancée Jacquelyn), Walla Walla, WA; brothers, Samuel Matos, East Hartford, CT, Joseph Matos, Montreal, Canada; sister, Palmira Matos, Portugal; a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning, June 29th at 10 o’clock in Vaucluse Cemetery.
