David R. Massey

David Reed Massey, 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Windsor, SC on January 11, 2026.

Born in Cherry Hill, NJ, David was the beloved son of the late Harvey Thomas Massey Jr. and Valeda Theil Massey. He dedicated much of his life to his work as an over-the-road truck driver and later in home repair, showcasing his diverse skills and strong work ethic.

David had a passion for life that was reflected in his hobbies, which included riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, woodworking, and construction. He also enjoyed spending time with animals, bowling, and playing pool, activities that brought him joy and fulfillment.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Massey of Windsor, SC; stepdaughters Patricia Carlucci and Jennifer Costa of New Jersey; along with three grandchildren, Kayla and Justin Kaenzig, and Guy Costa. David is also remembered by his brothers, Tommy Thompson, Todd Massey, and Paul Massey; and sisters Peggy Hannah, Donna Manzi and Ruth Bates.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Massey.

A memorial service honoring David's life will be held at a later date.
