AIKEN, SC – DAVID LEE HASS, 68, beloved husband of Dolly Marie Troutman Hass, died tragically Tuesday, March 8, 2022, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A native of Bozeman, MT, Dave was a son of Raymond William and Geraldine Delores Grainger Hass.  He was a nine year veteran of the United States Navy, serving on nuclear submarines.  After the Navy, Dave worked as a nuclear power technician at Three Mile Island, retiring after 20 years.  After retirement, he and Dolly retired to Three Runs Plantation in Aiken, 4 ½ years ago from Pennsylvania.  He had a great love for horses and dogs.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of 38 years, Dolly, include his parents, William and Geraldine of The Villages, FL; his son, Keith Hass, San Diego, CA; three sisters, Susan Marie Lehota (Charles F.), The Villages, FL, Sandy Alice Hass, Parma Heights, OH and Cynthia Louise Checke, Wildwood, FL.

A private service will be held for the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Aiken Equine Rescue (aikenequinerescue.org).
