AIKEN, SC – CYNTHIA EVANS McCALL, 76, widow of William F. “Bill” McCall, passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at her daughter’s home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Windber, PA, Cynthia was a daughter of the late Karl and Louise Cepuch Evans. Her family moved to Aiken from Elizabeth, NJ in 1953 when she was 9 years old. She volunteered as a member of the Aiken Hospital Auxiliary for over 30 years and was presented a Life Member Award in 2002 for her exemplary service and gracious attitude. She was a member of St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Stephanie McCall Halling (Tom), Catherine McCall Baker, all of Aiken; four grandchildren, Alexis Lepard (Marc), Ethan Baker, Addison Baker, Matthew Halling; a step-grandson, Cody Halling; her sister, Carole Smith, Aiken; brother-in-law, John McCall (Camille), Aiken; two nieces, Lisa Fox, Leigh Ann Williams (Kenneth); two nephews, Marsh McCall and Perry McCall. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Courtney Elizabeth McCall.
A private memorial service will be held Friday morning, March 5th at 11 o’clock at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with The Rev. Grant Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in the churchyard. The service will be livestreamed of the Shellhouse-Rivers Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/srfhandsfh) .
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church or FOTAS (fotasaiken.org).
