Colton Enoch Sanders, 21, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026, in Aiken County, following a tragic motorcycle accident. Born on October 14, 2004, in Shiprock, New Mexico, Colton was a proud member of the Navajo Tribe of Arizona, a heritage that remained a cherished part of his identity throughout his life.
Colton enjoyed working, since he was a young boy, with his family’s business cleaning at Messer Gases. He was homeschooled, graduating in 2025. He continued his academic journey at Aiken Technical College, where he was pursuing an associate degree in Welding, expecting to graduate in December 2026. Colton worked at Diablo's Southwest Grill while still in school, exemplifying his dedication and strong work ethic.
Beyond his studies and work, Colton pursued his passions with enthusiasm. He trained in Muay Thai martial arts, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, had a deep love for music and attended Windsor Assembly of Yahwah.
Family was at the heart of Colton’s life. He is lovingly remembered by his parents, Michael Shane Sanders and Clotia Vanna Tsosie-Sanders, and his sister, Michaela Grace Tanabah Sanders. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Julia Tsosie of Rough Rock, AZ, his paternal grandparents, Terry Eugene and Darla T. Sanders of Windsor, SC, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins who all cherished him dearly.
Colton was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tony Tsosie, Sr., and paternal grandmother, Marsha Gail Sanders.
A Celebration of Colton’s Life will be held Sunday afternoon, April 12th at 2 o’clock at the Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. Private interment will take place in Beulah Land Cemetery on the family’s property in Windsor.
