JACKSON, SC – CLAUDE WILLIAM BECK, JR., 95, widower of Bettie Layne Beck, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, in University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
A native of Richmond, VA, Claude was a son of the late Claude William Beck, Sr. and Glenice Maybel Adams Beck. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the 7th Amphibious Attach Force. He lived in Aiken County since 1959 and retired from DuPont and Westinghouse at the Savannah River Site.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
Mr. Beck will be conveyed to Nelsen Funeral Home in Richmond, VA for funeral services. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA.
