Claire H. Edenborg

Mrs. Claire H. Edenborg, 87, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

Claire was born in Westville, MA, daughter of the late Gilbert J. Lagoy and Clara Coash Lagoy. She had been a resident of Aiken since 2015, and a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. She worked for Beneficial Finance and retired after 23 years of service. Claire was an avid horse lover, and received numerous awards for her participation in horse shows and competitions.

Claire is survived by a sister, Teresa Lagoy, Worthington, MA; a brother Edward E. (Barbara) Lagoy, Asheville, MA; and sister in law, Linda Lagoy, Worthington, MA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Edenborg; siblings, Leonard Lagoy, Lillian Lagoy, Jean Lagoy, James Lagoy, John Lagoy, and Rita Lagoy.

A Mass of Chrisitan Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Park Ave. Interment will take place at a later date in Huntington, MA.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, with a Liturgy Service at 6:30 PM, Monday, October 27, 2025, at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC
