CHRISTOPHER LEE KOON, 51, beloved husband of Kelly Williamson Koon, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, in Wellstar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta.

A lifelong resident of Aiken County, Chris was the son of the late Marvin and Patricia Edwards Koon. He graduated from Midland Valley High School in 1992 and attended Aiken Technical College. Chris worked in industrial maintenance at Kimberly-Clark for the last 14 years. Above all, he was a devoted family man— a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He had a passion for fishing and hunting, and took great pride in the pond he built on his property.

Chris is lovingly survived by his wife of 28 years, Kelly; his son, Jacob Koon and wife Elaina; his daughter, Christen Koon; and his sister, Tracy Boyd and husband Rodney, all of Aiken.

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, March 22nd from 2 until 4 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Monday, March 23rd at 3 o’clock at the funeral home Burial services will be private.

Chris's memory will forever be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
