Charles Douglas Wilson

AIKEN, SC - CHARLES DOUGLAS WILSON, 78, beloved husband of Maleeta Burns Wilson, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 in Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center, Augusta, GA.

A native of Valdese, NC, Charles was a son of the late William Ray and Frances Viola Reynolds Wilson.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served as an Aviation Ordinance Man.  Charles lived in Aiken since 1979 and retired from Pactiv.  He was a former member of the American Legion in North Augusta and the DAV.  He was formerly very active in the Patriot Guard Riders.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, Maleeta, include three daughters, Christine Michele Beal (Doug), Lincolnton, GA, Cheryl Rae Barrantes (Erick), Aiken, Amy Jane Wilson, Aiken; two grandchildren, Savannah Jane Beal and Zachary Wilson Beal.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Wilson.

A private graveside service will be held in Southlawn Cemetery with The Rev. Gary Farina officiating.
