Charles Evan Stokes

CHARLES EVAN STOKES, 74, beloved husband of the late Reushe Stokes, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026 in his home.

A lifelong resident of Aiken, Evan graduated from Aiken High School and furthered his education at Erskine College, where he showcased his skills as a soccer player.

Evan dedicated his professional life to carpentry and was a former co-owner with his wife, Reushe of Peachtree Specialty Shoppe. He cherished the moments spent at Lake Murray, where he found joy in nature and relaxation.

Surviving is his son, Jeremy Harley and his wife Emily of Lakewood, CO and 2 grandsons, Jack and Will Harley.

Private interment will be in Historic Bethany Cemetery.

A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon, February 13, 2026 at 2 o’clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Bill Howard III.
