Cecile Seigler Platt

Mrs. Cecile Seigler Platt, 87, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at Silver Bluff Grove.

Cecile was a lifelong resident of Aiken, daughter of the late Cecil Hodges Seigler, Jr. and Thelma Nolia Hallman Seigler.  She was a graduate of Furman University, and a teacher in the Aiken County School District, spending most of her career at Gloverville Elementary.

Cecile is survived by her daughter, Chrissie Alexander, Fort Mill, SC; sons, Bryan (Elaine) Platt (Aiken), Tommy (Rhonda) Platt, Aiken, Ed (Jill) Platt, Seattle, WA; grandchildren Noah Platt, Megan and Katelyn Platt, Paxton Costa, and Ashley, Julie, and Leary Platt.

She is also survived by her brother Ed (Melinda) Seigler of Hilton Head, and sister Sara (Ethan) Holman of Oklahoma.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burney “Bob” Platt.

We would like to thank everyone at Silver Bluff Grove for the love and care provided to our mom during the time she resided there.
