Cathy Ellen Narvaez

CATHY ELLEN NARVAEZ, 71, widow of Enrique “Henry” M. Narvaez, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta, GA.

A native of Columbus, OH, Cathy was a daughter of the late Martin Ray Hughes and Betty Marie Windle Hughes.  She was a graduate of Rio Grande College in Ohio and had lived in Aiken since 1989.  She taught math and science at Schofield Middle School and Aiken Middle School, retiring in 2011.  She was a member of Grace Church of Aiken.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Franklin (Jeremey), Aiken; her son, Matthew Smith, London, OH; four grandchildren, Andrea Heath, Evans, GA, Sophia Smith, London, OH, Jamie Elliott, Aiken, Micah Franklin, Aiken; two sisters, Deborah Adelsberger (Joe), Copperas Cove, TX, Diana Nash (Jeff), Reynoldsburg, OH.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, April 29^th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Grace Church of Aiken.

A graveside service will be held Saturday morning, April 30^th at 10 o’clock in Talatha Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Don Soule officiating.
