Caroleen Moorleghen Vincent

AIKEN, SC - Caroleen "Carol" Vincent, 89, widow of the late Lorne L. Vincent, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025

Mrs. Vincent was born on October 1, 1936, in New Baden, IL to the late Elmer G. and Frances Heimann Moorleghen. She was a civilian employee working as an Administrative Assistant with the US Air Force Stateside and in Germany for 20 years. In 1975, she began working for the Department of Energy in Washington DC. In 1980, she and her husband moved to Aiken to work for the DOE at SRS until she retired in 1995.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vincent was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Lorne L. Vincent; one sister, Janet Barringhaus; two brothers, Charles and George Moorleghen; and one step-daughter, Lorinda Chriesman.

She is survived by a sister, Vera Huffman; two brothers, Maurice and Richard Moorleghen; step-daughter, Lisette Hawkins; several nieces and nephews and her loving friends, Shannon Moreno, Maggie Affedlt, Jan Rosier, Brent King and Michael Jones.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, December 15th at Shellhouse Funeral Home, 924 Hayne Ave. Graveside funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday at Beaufort National Cemetery.
