AIKEN, SC – CARL HOWARD “JR” CULPEPPER, JR., 69, beloved husband of Patsy Millwood Culpepper, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at his residence.
A native of Athens, TN, JR was a son of Mable Norwood Boylston and the late Carl H. Culpepper, Sr. He moved to Aiken County when he was 18 years old. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam. JR was a retired mechanic. He loved NASCAR and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy; mother, Mable Boylston, Athens, TN; son, Carl H. Culpepper III, New Ellenton; sister, Dewetta Jolly, Athens, TN. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Eloise Culpepper and step-father, Bartow Boylston.
A memorial service will be announced for a later date.
