Carl "Chip" Lynn Poston

Carl Lynn "Chip" Poston, a lifelong resident of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026.  

He devoted over two decades of service at the Savannah River site and later retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement after many fulfilling years.

Chip found joy in fishing, exploring his passion for guns, and spending time working on his truck. Until he could no longer continue, he enjoyed driving daily for his signature ten-shot espresso.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel Ann Kendrick Poston, just a couple of months ago, as well as his parents, Carl F. Poston and Geraldine B. Poston.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Poston Tyler and Kristy Poston Yaun (Michael), along with grandchildren Ashleigh Marin (Josh), Kaytlin Newton (Aubrey), Justin Golson, Christian Yaun, Kaileb Tyler (Mallory Reid), Evan Yaun, Jaethan Tyler, Kinley Tyler, and Legaci Tyler. Chip was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Kasara Tyler, and eagerly awaited the arrival of Archie Newton in December 2026.

At this time, there are no plans for services.
