AIKEN, SC – C. Warren Koehl, M.D., entered into rest on October 12th, 2025.
Dr. Warren Koehl was born in Camden, N.J., on September 1st, 1927. Warren spent his formative years in Abington, P.A., where he graduated from high school.
Dr. Koehl entered Penn State University after high school but was drafted into the Army after one semester. When relieved from service, he returned to Penn State to complete his undergraduate degree.
Dr. Koehl attended Jefferson Medical School in Philadelphia and served his residency in Pathology at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, P.A.
Upon the completion of his training, he practiced in Wilkes-Barre, PA and was the Director of the departments of Laboratory and Nuclear Medicine at Wilkes-Barre Hospital.
After retirement, Warren and his wife, Blair, moved to Aiken, where they volunteered for six years at the Aiken Community Medical Center. Warren described his service as a “great experience, both valuable and personally rewarding.”
Warren is survived by his wife, Blair; his three children; two stepchildren, eight grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on October 28th, 2025 at St Thaddeus Episcopal Church at 3:00 P.M. with a reception to follow in the Stevenson-McClelland Building.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, 125 Pendleton St SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
