It is with heavy hearts that we announce the legend, Bruce Quincy Stacey, passed peacefully in his home on July 26, 2026, at the age of 63.

Bruce was the beloved son of the late Sam and Jean Stacey. His greatest accomplishments in life were his children, Robert Stacey (Whitney), Patrick Stacey (Meighan), and Mary Farmer (Scott). He was incredibly proud of his grandchildren Sam Stacey, Sarah Stacey, LilyAnne Stacey, Abigail Hubbs, Charles Hubbs, and Shelby Fulmer.

Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his cherished siblings, Linda and David Hill, whose love and support meant the world to him. He also held a special place in the heart of his niece, Samantha Hughes (Ricco), and his nephew, Beau Hill. Bruce’s memory will live on through his many extended family members, countless friends, and all whose lives were touched by his loving spirit, unforgettable humor, and generous heart. He was also deeply grateful for the love and companionship of two very special women, Nancy Richardson and Kelly Burke, who each played an important role in his life and remained a source of love and support throughout the years.

Bruce truly loved life. He never met a stranger and was known for his infectious smile, quick wit, and ability to make anyone laugh. A gifted carpenter and construction mastermind, there wasn’t much he couldn’t build, fix, or figure out. He was always willing to teach a lesson, even if the volume occasionally had to be turned up to make sure you understood. He could be tough, but those fortunate enough to learn from Bruce considered him one of the greatest mentors they ever had.

His love for his family was unwavering. Bruce's kindness, laughter, and generous spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we take comfort in the memories he gave us and the love he shared so freely.

Bruce will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His smile, his laughter, and his heartfelt "I love you" will continue to echo in the hearts of his family and friends for years to come. As Bruce would say, “Now, kiss my rebel $#&@”

Go Tigers!

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, July 31st beginning at 3 o’clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will follow at 4 o’clock at the funeral home.
