Blanche Hayes Shirah

Aiken – Mrs. Blanche Faye Hayes Shirah, 85, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022. Mrs. Shirah was born in Cook County, GA, daughter of the late Lee and Mamie Brantley Hayes. She had been a resident of Aiken since 1973, and worked for many years at Pepperidge Farm. She is survived by her son, Robert Allen (Debra) Hayes, Aiken; grandchildren, Jessica Shirah, Patrick W. Shirah, Cory Hayes, and Tyler Hayes; a step son, Michael (Marilyn) Shirah; and sister, Betty Bozeman. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jessie Shirah; her son, Patrick Shirah; and great grandson, Hunter Hayes. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia, with Reverend Dexter Lambert officiating.
