MONTMORENCI, SC - BILLIE JEAN TOOLE, 88, widow of Robert Ladson Toole, passed away, Monday evening, January 12, 2026 in Barclay House in Aiken, SC.

A native of Waynesboro, GA, Billie Jean was a daughter of the late Macon W. and Minnie Dye Daniel. She lived most of her life in Aiken and retired from South Carolina Employment Security Commission. She was a member of Aiken’s First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Bobby Toole (Kim) and Jeffrey Toole; four grandchildren, Christine Hunt, Gregory Toole, Jr., Jeremy Toole and Christopher Toole. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: two great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Glenda Dudley.

In addition to her husband and parents, Billie Jean was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Toole a sister, Sara Jo Wren and a brother, Macon Hayden Daniel.

A memorial service will be held Friday afternoon, January 16th at 5 o’clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Fred W. Andrea III officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 7 o’clock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
