Mrs. Betty Jean Wilson, 90, passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at her residence.

Jean was a lifelong resident of Aiken, daughter of the late Charles William Prosser and Thelma Carolyn Huff Prosser. Jean was of the Baptist faith. She has been reunited in the arms of Jesus with her husband, children, and beloved pets who proceeded her in death. In God’s glory, she is no longer suffering in her earthly body, but has been resurrected in his name. Jean worked in sewing and as a cafeteria manager for local schools. She was passionate about sewing, crafts, and cooking.

Jean is survived by her grandchildren, Tara Wessinger-Hanna of Aiken, Korie Wessinger Gordon and Amber Carbo of New Orleans, and Austin Carbo of Denver; great grandchildren, Cody and Zoe Hanna. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Wilson; son, Terry Wessinger; daughters, Tonya Wessinger, and Teresa Carbo; grandson, Michael Clarke; sisters, Nettie Gregory, Julia Jernigan, and Dot Littlefield; and brother, Charles Wyman Prosser; beloved dogs, Mitzi, Casey, and Lea.

A private service was held in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
