Bettie Marlene Marshall Hess

BETTIE MARLENE MARSHALL HESS, 90, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 in Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A native of Charleston, WV, Bettie was a daughter of the late Lester and Ella Patterson Marshall.  She moved to Aiken in the early 1950’s and was a member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church.  She retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass and also from Walmart on Whiskey Rd.  She was a big Elvis fan.

Survivors include three daughters, Becky Worley (Gains), Elk City, OK, Sue Herron, Aiken, SC. Bobbie Pearson, Graniteville, SC; her son, Mike Hess (Michelle), Jackson, SC; grandchildren, Jackie Herron, Dana Ragen (Bart), Toni Webb (David), Tammy Posey (Stephen), James Pearson, Jennifer Clark (Joey), Dale Pearson (Tara), Clint Pearson (Shannon), Dillon Pearson (Kara), Brent Hess, Cassidy Hess (Joshua), Brad Worley, Christy Worley; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Marshall, Lebanon, VA; her aunt, Pauline Richards, Sturgis, MI

The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, June 25^th beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.  The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock with The Rev. Brian Lee officiating.  Interment will be in Hollow Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
