Bettie J. Childers, 95, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025.
She was born November 14, 1929, in Ethridge, Tennessee, to the late William Tully and Lucille Burch Wilson. She retired from Internal Revenue Service in Georgia where she lived until moving to Aiken in 2008. She was a member of Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred (Barney) Childers; sister Marie W. Wassum; brother William E. Wilson; nephew, William Don Wilson.
She is survived by three nieces; Ann Yearsovich (Stephen) Chattanooga, TN; Lynn Enos ( Bryan) Aiken, SC, Cindy Griffin (Jimmie) Windsor, SC; 1 great niece, Monica Hankins, Aiken, SC; 3 great nephews, Duran Thompson (Jannette), W. Lafayette, IN, Nathan Rowe, Chattanooga, TN, Kelton Rowe (Paula), Chattanooga, TN; 7 great-great nieces, and 2 great-great nephews.
The family is deeply grateful to the personal caregivers for their compassionate and devoted care of Mrs. Childers for the past several years.

Bettie's interment will take place in Rural Retreat, VA, at a later date.
