Barbara A. Parkinson

Barbara Ann Parkinson, 94, of Aiken, SC, passed away on June 2, 2026. Barbara dedicated her life to her family, including her parents, siblings, husband, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many lifelong friends. Barbara enjoyed being a homemaker, crafting and a quiet cup of coffee on her porch on a beautiful morning.

Born to Louise and Charles Jeffery in Galena, IL, on March 28, 1932. Barbara spent her early years in Galena. She married Ted L. Parkinson in November of 1952, who predeceased her in 2012. They settled in Rockford, IL. In retirement, they moved to Port Charlotte, FL. Barbara has been a resident of Aiken for 10 years.

She is survived by daughters, Annette Tilbury (Robert) of Anchorage, AK, Janet Hendrickson (Jeffrey) of Aiken, SC and Lisa Parkinson of Rockford, IL; grandchildren, Joshua (Jessica), Zachary (Sarah) and Margaret Tilbury; great-grandchildren, Dane, Drew, Addie and Ruby Tilbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest in Lady’s Union Cemetery in Stockton, Illinois.
