Aiken – Mrs. Barbara Ann Holton, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Bobbie, as she was known, was born in San Jose, CA, daughter of the late Charles William and Laura Williams Richardson. She was first and foremost a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and the Super Glue of the family. She co-owned and operated two family businesses. She worked in sales, was a drapery seamstress, a crafter and fixer of all. She was also known in the family as the “Corney Joke Queen”! She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Jack Roy Holton; children, Charles (Dr. Holly Broome) Holton, Slidell, LA, Cherri Holton (James) Hopkins, N. Augusta, Glen “Rick” (Patricia) Holton, Aiken, Donna Holton (Clayton) Meadows, Aiken; grandchildren, Jennifer Nicholson, Charles “Tony” Holton, Glen Holton, II, Kaci Prouty, Kody Meadows, Summer Hopkins, Bridgett Sholette, Scott Bowen, Wesley Broome, and Darce Byrd; 12 great grandchildren; siblings, Margie Littlejohn, Velma Key, JoJo Seilig, and Willard Richardson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Rose Richardson, Frances Richardson, and Charles Richardson. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, October 14, 2022 in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Dr. Brad Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
