A life-long learner and teacher, April studied early childhood education at the University of South Carolina. After college, she rejoiced in traveling with her husband as they went snow-skiing in the Alps, walked the cobblestone pathways of St. Mark’s Cathedral in Venice, and she enjoyed scuba diving all throughout Florida and the Grand Cayman Islands. April lived in South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, and Georgia before settling in Ashland, AL, her home for over 25 years. April was an inspiration and light to all who knew her. Her Faith, Joy, and Perseverance knew no bounds. She overcame every obstacle that came her way with a smile on her face, no matter the odds. April was and is loved by many as a friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a mom, a wife, and as a grandmother named Winky.
